  Position Summary

  The Manufacturing Associate in the VLS (Vertical Launch System) department performs a range of mechanical and labor functions in a manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include setting up and operating various manufacturing equipment such as drills, sanders, and hand power tools, along with test equipment.

  Essential Functions

  Setup and run various manufacturing equipment, including drills, sanders, hand power tools, and test equipment.

  Work with paints, adhesives, solvents, and primers.

  Perform visual quality inspections of parts.

  Follow written work instructions and standard operating procedures.

  Works to a daily schedule to meet/ exceed output targets.

  Complete all internal departmental documentation accurately and on time.   

  Communicate well between departments, to notify leaders and engineers to problem solve issues.

  Perform preventative maintenance on all machines.

  Use appropriate PPE for designated area.

  Other duties may be assigned.

  Qualifications

  U.S. Citizenship or have U.S. Permanent Resident Status required.

  GED or High School Diploma required.

  Relevant Work Experience: 2+ years of manufacturing experience required.

  Ability to work independently and within a team.

  Ability to perform basic math, reading, writing and computer skills such as basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and use of Microsoft Office.

  Personal/ Soft skills: Must Demonstrate effective organizational and verbal/written English communication skills.

  Ability to lift and or move up to 40 lbs.
