  About the Role & Team

  The Finance Manager provides strategic financial leadership for the Walt Disney World Marketing Strategy and Commercial Organization. We lead financial processes and are thought partners for providing sound financial analyses, decision support and leadership for projects.

  We enjoy visibility to senior leadership and the opportunity to work with a variety of partners in a dynamic, fast paced environment. Our team seeks a candidate with strong leadership, communication, partnering, and analytical skills. The candidate will be responsible for pulling together clear presentations for senior level executives, while also coming up with innovative processes and ideas for the business. This leader will also be instrumental in helping to create an inclusive and flexible environment for the team.

  This role reports to the Sr Manager-Finance.

  What You Will Do

  The desired candidate must empower and enable finance teams, partners, and clients to understand and manage their financial goals, and bring an entrepreneurial spirit to our work. It is encouraged that this candidate understands the financial processes and has experience with executive communication and reporting. This Finance Manager should also have a track record of positive leadership skills with an ability to inspire the team, quickly adapting leadership style to meet the needs of the business and environment, embracing and integrating inclusion, and promoting Disney values.

  Lead financial planning processes, including Long Term Plan, Annual Operating Plan, and forecasts

  Provide strategic and financial support on key initiatives and long-term opportunities

  Partner with organizations across Walt Disney World, including Finance, Revenue Planning & Optimization, Commercial Strategy, Marketing Centers of Excellence, CIMA, etc.

  Lead, mentor, and encourage Cast, while championing their professional development

  Required Qualifications & Skills

  3+ years experience of finance or accounting experience with Disney Experiences (Parks & Resorts)

  Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills

  Proven positive leadership skills and an ability to foster a culture of caring

  Ability to formalize an approach to an issue/business case and influence a solution with courage and confidence

  Proven attention to detail and accuracy, while maintaining the ability to view and articulate the bigger picture

  Ability to maintain an objective financial perspective and understand the broader implications to the company

  Strong sense of responsibility and ability to meet deadlines, prioritize multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal direct supervision

  Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork/partnering ability

  Anticipate next steps, future opportunities, and take appropriate actions to support the business needs

  Demonstrated leadership skills, partnering, relationship-building, influencing, and communication skills up and down the organizational structure to convey key elements in a concise and positive manner

  Ability to manage conflict to resolution

  Proven ability to implement operational improvement skills

  Preferred Qualifications

  Managerial/Leadership experience

  5+ years of finance or accounting experience with Disney Experiences (Parks & Resorts)

  Education

  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, and Business Administration or other business or quantitative equivalent

  Graduate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field (MBA, MSA, etc.)
