  We are currently seeking a full-timeManager of Facility Maintenance. This is a 1st shift position that will be supporting our Kearny Mesa and El Cajon locations in San Diego.

  What does the job involve?

  The Manager of Facility Maintenance is responsible for the supervision of the plant services departments to ensure the companys buildings, assets, and infrastructure are properly maintained to support the manufacturing operations and meet the requirements for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The position oversees 2 sites and is responsible for the manufacturing equipment including CNC machining capabilities, special process operations including chemical processing and NDT equipment, metal forming equipment including welders and expanders as well as all building and landscape maintenance. Additionally, the position supervises the Tooling department in support of engineering, operations, and facilities.

  What will my responsibilities include?

  Coordinates work order assignments to meet the scheduled activities and unplanned service requests.Plans best allocation and utilization of space and resources for current facilities and future additions or remodels.Builds proposals and estimates for projects, repairs, remodels, and expansion.Develops project action plans and coordinates activities.Supervises the day-to-day activities of the plant services department and personnel.Manages and monitors project costs to meet project budgets.Manages project activities to ensure on-schedule completion to project plans.Coordinates capital purchase projects including quoting equipment and ensuring equipment meets intended requirements; interfaces with management as required developing department budgets and capital expense plan.Conducts department employee performance evaluations, develop employee growth paths, makes hiring decisions, and contributes to termination decisions.Manages and leads cross-functional process improvement teams.Communicates all Facilities/Maintenance needs and requirements to site Leadership.Provides day to day supervision and support, to include recruiting, managing, training and development, evaluating performance, and providing employee discipline in the assigned areas.Provides and prioritize communication throughout multiple departments.Sources vendor service and performance activities and oversees bid and proposal contracts.Develops and implements preventive maintenance plans for critical facility and operations equipment.Develops, leads, and participates in continuous improvement activities company wide.What key skills and experience do I need?

  Familiarity with CNC machines, furnaces, automatic welding, and chemical processing equipment.Familiarity and experience with the repair of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, stru tural, and HVAC systems.Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.Read and follow standard building blueprints.Communicate effectively (verbal and written).Compose letters and memorandums.Coordinate events and meetings.Establish and maintain filing systems and logs.Use computer packages to prepare graphics.Use computerized spreadsheets to conduct analysis.Balance figures and compile statistics.Input data into computer programs.Maintain high level of customer service.Self-motivated and self-directed.Ability to solve problems.Interview applicants.Proofread documents.Research information.Answer telephones.Detail oriented.What qualifications should I have?

  Education:

  Bachelors degree in business administration, Operations, or Engineering.HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) 40-hour certification required.Experience:

  10 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience with EHandS activities.Experience with Lean Manufacturing.Material requirements planning and enterprise resource planning (MRP/ERP) systems experience preferred.Why Join Senior Aerospace Jet Products/Ketema?
