The technician will perform programming, networking, preventative and emergency maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs, as well as end-user assistance regarding the proper utilization of these systems. The technician will also mentor, train, and coach the entry level technician who assists them on jobsites.Core Duties & Responsibilites:Safety is E2's number one Core Value. Help develop and retain business by providing outstanding customer service.Must be able to safely drive company owned vehicle or personal vehicle for the purpose of E2 business.Use computers, laptops, and specialized interface and/or programming software to program and set up security, access, CCTV, nurse call, or sound systems and associated devices.Have and maintain manufacturer certifications pertaining to systems being programmed.Coordinate with assigned project manager and/or other trades for completing projects and work orders efficiently and on time.Troubleshoot and diagnose system problems or failures and identify equipment and/or components that require repair.Perform regular system inspections including evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventative maintenance.Read and understand system diagrams, project and as built drawings.Install project specific cabling or piping per specifications and applicable building, electrical, and fire alarm codes.Install project specific devices including but not limited to Fire, Suppression, CCTV, Intrusion, Access, Nurse Call, etc. per specifications and applicable building, electrical, and fire alarm codes.Maintain assigned tools, vehicle and equipment.Use and understand company software for completion of service tickets, logging time, and obtaining job specific information.Travel: The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by E2.Education:Education:Washington EL06 License Required.Oregon LEA/LEB License PreferredExperience:3-5 years of experience as a security technician or other relative industry experience required.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Must be efficient and productive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.Must be able to navigate company software, enter data, and send communication.Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel a plus.Must possess excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers.Must be able to operate hand and power tools.Obtain and mai
