Salary Range: $100,000 - $110,000 (Depends on qualifications) The University of Minnesota is looking for an experienced product management professional ready to take the next step in their career. We need a strong product owner to provide support for the development team that builds small custom applications that fit specific business use cases at the University of Minnesota. As product owner for this team, you'll work closely with internal customers and stakeholders to articulate the value we capture each iteration, helping the team write effective stories, acceptance criteria, and demos. This position requires a background in managing software products, addressing accessibility and usability factors, and navigating competing stakeholder concerns. This position is ideal for the candidate who: Wants to apply product management principles in a fluid environment that encourages experimentation Is excited to teach product management principles on a development team to build a shared understanding Job Responsibilities: Contribute to the Product Vision and Product Roadmap Working closely with customers and stakeholders, identify the specific solution areas where the team can create value for the business Articulate the value of whole-product solutions over specific targeted adjustments Represent the end user in ART-level product management conversations Facilitate the creation of value throughout the development iteration Manage the team backlog by guiding story creation, prioritizing backlog items, and accepting completed stories Foster built-in quality Encourage the continuous, iterative delivery of value to the customer Applying feedback to the development cycle Test the benefit hypotheses Coordinate feedback from customers and stakeholders, and use that feedback to create further value Qualifications Please document qualifications on resume Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience, or master's degree, or a comparable combination of education, training, and experience. Prior experience applying industry practices in the development and delivery of web applications, with a solid understanding of underlying principles, policies, and best practices. Experience succeeding with iterative or agile product management methodology. Preferred qualifications: Experience leading the development and delivery of highly complex digital products, platforms, systems, or services with a broad, diverse user base (B2B preferred). Experience leading large workshops with diverse stakeholders.
