Job Description
BAE Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Desktop (Field) Services Manager for the Falls Church, VA location to oversee the delivery of on-site and remote IT services for internal customer accounts supporting the Inc and Shared Services sectors. The manager will lead local and a geographically dispersed team who are responsible for systems administration tasks such as operating systems installations, break-fix remediation, and service requests. The selected candidate will provide technical leadership and guidance to the team while interfacing with the customer to ensure timely resolution of issues while meeting established SLO (Service Level Objectives), KPI (Key Performance Indicators) and high CSAT (Customer Satisfaction) expectations. There will be an emphasis on following established policies while deploying timely and secure IT solutions.
The Field Services Manager will provide planning, direction, coordination and control necessary to accomplish all work requirements, manage and oversee all technical activities performed by employees and contractors reporting to him/her. The manager will also be asked to help the team troubleshoot advanced technical problems to identify both root cause and possible solutions. The Field Services Manager will serve as the team s point-of-contact for establishing team priorities, staffing levels and personnel development.
The Field Services Manager will be responsible for the following support to be provided at the Falls Church facility:
Manage BAE Systems Conference Center
Provide exec-care to the CEO and C-suite executives
Manage Support-on-Site technical support bar
Support annual Senior Leader Conference(s)
Provide quarterly IT support for BAE Inc. Board of Directors
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Associate's Degree in Computer Science or IT Management with at least 8 yrs experience;
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IT Management with at least 4 yrs experience;
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with emphasis on effectively communicating with senior level leadership
Excellent organization skills
Excellent customer relations/customer service
Proven management and leadership skills
Ability to set priorities, delegate, motivate, negotiate, manage performance, collaborate, recruitment, coach/mentor while focusing on continuous improvement
Problem solving/analytics
Basic finance
Basic project management

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems
Understanding of both Windows and Linux operating systems
Understanding of iOS and Android mobile operating systems & Microsoft Intune cloud-based endpoint management
Understanding of ServiceNow IT management/request and ticketing system
Understanding of Microsoft 365 cloud productivity platform
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $109120 - $185460
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
