Low Voltage Technician

　　Ankeny, IA

　　Shift: 6:30am - 4:30pm / Monday - Friday

　　Qualified Candidates:

　　Experience in cabling, security, or low voltage installation

　　Valid DL & reliable transportation

　　Climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively

　　Additional skills/qualifications for position:

　　• Low voltage - experience pulling and routing wires

　　• 1+ years of experience in a commercial environment

　　• Experience running or bending conduit and testing cables

　　• Troubleshooting networking issues, rack and stack work, closet work, putting together server racks, patch panels

　　• Fiber experience with connectors and splicing

　　• Installation and termination of peripheral devices

　　• Ability to climb up/down ladder and perform extended overhead cabling/wiring from ladder

　　• Bend, lift, twist, turn, and crawl into tight spaces to install devices and equipment

　　• Solid attention to detail with good follow-through

　　Job description:

　　Data crew is 10-15 individuals - Looking for cable techs to join commercial data crew.

　　Cable Puller needs at least 1 year of experience both pulling AND terminating copper cable.

　　Will be trained in by crew to start to get acclimated to the role and processes, once training is complete can move into independently role. (4 weeks or less)

　　90% of work is indoors

　　Involved in all low voltage work at commercial sites.

　　Requirements:

　　Valid Driver's License

　　Must have either HS Diploma or GED

　　Able to bend, twist, kneel, and climb up and down a ladder 8 hours/day

　　Must be able to align colored wires accurately

　　Must be able to lift 35-50 lbs. consistently all day
