  Role Summary

  The Network Analyst works on a fast-paced team whose responsibilities include conducting evaluations to determine long term strategic growth and seasonal capacity plans at Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. The Network Analyst team makes decisions in the development, implementation, and tracking of future flights.

  Key Duties

  In the intermediate level (Professional 2), this role is responsible for developing market level frequency recommendations and analysis. As an individual contributor, this role exercises considerable judgment to make decisions and provide recommendations to address the feasibility and profitability of future schedules and the implementation of our network strategy.

  In the senior level (Professional 3), this role is a subject matter expert in the airline’s strategic growth, frequency plans, and capacity development. As an individual contributor, this role exercises considerable judgment to make decisions and provide recommendations to address the feasibility and profitability of future schedules and the implementation of our network strategy.

  Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

  Intermediate Level (Professional 2)

  Required

  2 years of experience in analytics, or related area.

  Bachelor’s degree with a focus in an aviation management, business, economics, statistics, mathematics, finance, or another quantitative discipline, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.

  Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  Must be a self-starter who is able to work independently under tight deadlines.

  Superior analytical and critical thinking skills.

  Good at multi-tasking and able to reprioritize responsibilities as priorities change.

  Demonstrates the ability and passion to continuously look for ways to improve the Alaska Airlines network and flight schedule.

  High school diploma or equivalent.

  Minimum age of 18.

  Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

  Senior Level (Professional 3)

  Required

  4 years of experience in analytics, with a preference for a commercial aviation focus or related area.

  Bachelor’s degree with a focus in an aviation management, business, economics, statistics, mathematics, finance, or another quantitative discipline, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.

  Expertise and experience in airline fundamentals and economics.

  Knowledge of modeling/forecasting methodology and systems.

  Expert level knowledge of airline scheduling systems (Sabre, Oasis, etc.).

  Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

  Expert analytical skills with a deep understanding of analytical processes, including database querying tools and platforms.

  Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work and communicate with all levels of the company, including senior executives.

  A strategic thinker who can see “the big picture” while understanding the details.

  A self-starter, with the ability to set priorities consistent with departmental goals and work independently.

  High school diploma or equivalent.

  Minimum age of 18.

  Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

  Salary Range

  $67,725-$139,100 / year

  Pay Details

  Entry Level (Professional I): $67,725-$84,600

  Intermediate Level (Professional II):$72,600-$108,800

  Senior Level (Professional III): $92,700-$139,100

  Salary Details

  Pay will be based on multiple factors,includingand not limited to relevant experience/level, level of the role and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees. Alaska/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.
