About The OpportunityOperate flexographic printing press toproduce preprint according to customer specifications.KeyResponsibilities: The following duties are normal for this position. Theincumbent may perform some or all of these duties, however, it is not anexclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordancewith company safety policies and procedures. Understand job ticketinformation to determine quantity, special work instructions, and anyother special customer requirements. Determine the best manufacturingmethod to produce product efficiently and effectively. Perform setupsand operates flexographic printing press efficiently. Maintain highefficiency according to established rates during operation of theassigned equipment. Troubleshoot and make decisions regarding thequality of finished product. Complete required quality inspections andpaperwork. Work with peers and other departments to improve quality andperformance. Contribute to overtime needs to meet customer demands. Playan active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of the assigned pressand surrounding area. Understand department communication systems,schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements.Actively participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives. Perform otherduties as assigned by management. Other Requirements (education,experience, skills/knowledge) High School diploma or equivalent.Technical degree in Printing preferred. 2-3 years of printing experiencerequired. Possess the ability to blend and color match ink. Goodcomputer skills. Must be able to rotate shifts and work overtime(including weekends).
