　　Research Specialist, 3M Company, Maplewood, Minnesota: Perform mechanical testing and analysis for structural adhesives. Develop novel test methods for polymers. Develop algorithms for simulation and data analysis. Provide guidance for development of novel materials that meet mechanical requirements of applications. Interface with customers to define problems and develop solutions. PhD in Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering required. Must have three years of experience as a researcher or engineer: (i) developing mechanical characterization methods for structural adhesives; and (ii) using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulation tools, including LS-DYNA, Abaqus FEA, or Ansys Mechanical. 　　Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $133,435 - $163,088, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
