　　Maxar is currently seeking a Lead Software Systems Engineer (SSE) to joinour Systems Engineering Team. In this role, you will support our World ViewLegion program, Maxar's agile, high-accuracy imaging mission and productline. As a Software Systems Engineer the successful candidate must betechnical deep in software developmentand is expected to cover the programlifecycle through launch andon orbit operations.

　　The SSE will interface between the Software organization, SystemsEngineering, Subsystems Engineers (Thermal, Power, Electrical,etc), System Integration and Test, the Program Office, and thecustomer. Interfaces inside the software organization include GroundSoftware, Dynamics and Controls, Flight Software, SimulationsSoftware, Hardware Testbed and Avionics Emulators, and SoftwareVerification and Validation. We are seeking an experienced candidate with aproven track record of working independently in a fast-paced environment andwhose work ethic reflects action and problem solving. The successful candidatemust function in an ambiguous environment with a focused intention toeliminate ambiguity with properly vetted solutions.This role will be performed in our Palo Alto, Californiaor ourWestminster, Colorado facility.

　　Manage the allocation and derivation of system level requirements to softwareelementsResponsible for the derivation of software Use Cases from top level SystemCONOPsResponsible for managing the software architecture and ensuring it meetscontractual functional intentAct as the systems owner in the design and development of the softwaresolutionResponsible for the software V&V Plan and execution across all software teamsResponsible for long term architecture across programs and product lines tooptimize reuse of requirements, architecture, and testManage technical dependencies on customer, systems, subsystems andcoordinate collaboration across individuals and teams as appropriatePartner with engineering leads to capture & manage technical risks includingcontributor & stakeholder risk managementCoordinate downstream internal customer's dependencies on SoftwareManage technical subcontractor(s) or coordinate closely with leads tomanage, as appropriateInterface appropriately with PMO, Systems Engineer, Master Scheduler,and CustomerRecognize and manage scope creep from Systems Engineering, PMO, or CustomerContinue to foster and grow customer relationshipProvide and/or contribute to Software program documentation as needed,including distribution, shares, organization, etc.Contribute to and participate in Gate ReviewsResponsible for authoring and delivering software program plans

　　Minimum Requirements:

　　Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent residentBachelor's degree Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, relatedfield, or equivalent experienceMinimum of 8 years of total experienceMinimum of 4 (subset of total experience) years of technical managementand leadership overseeing complex development efforts (ie: aerospace,defense systems)Experience with NASA, DoD or FAA Program Management, SoftwareEngineering, or Systems Engineering standardsSystems Engineering experience across multiple interacting hardware andsoftware subsystemsProfessional written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills

　　Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility.Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set ofknowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potentialcommensurate with experience. The range for this position is:$134,000.00- $223,000.00 annually.

　　Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based oncontribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved;the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on therole and breadth of contributions.
