　　Description and Requirements

　　Role Value Proposition

　　As a Lead Full Stack Engineer on the team in Cary, NC, you will be responsible for leading technical design and development of cloud enabled, DevOps, multi-platform and cross functional applications that solve complex business problems. The role will be a highly visible hands-on technology driver supporting platform product development by creating innovative solutions, as well as driving solutions that modernize, stabilize, and support the growth of our portfolio. You will interact with Agile Release Team (ART), senior Business and IT Leaders, and IT partners, providing technical support throughout the Agile lifecycle. Focus will include solution design, development, CICD, automation, security assessment and resolution, and performance tuning. You will engage with multiple concurrent teams and provide governance to ensure that standards and best practices are followed.

　　Key Responsibilities

　　As part of a Scaled Agile scrum team, develop modern cloud native and on-prem applications within our Compensation and Producer management ART of MetLife Holdings portfolio.

　　Lead the technical design, development, and integration of solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms.

　　Hands-on development with a focus on application transformation, modernization, site reliability, containerization, and building APIs in distributed technologies.

　　Participate in fit/gap analysis of requirements, help manage user expectations on feature deliverables, provide tactical and strategic options to address issues and technical debt, and develop code to modern standards.

　　Mentor, motivate, influence, and coach the broader technical team to help push best practices and understanding of modern design and development practices.

　　Required:

　　5+ years of experience in software development with strong technical understanding of designing and building enterprise scale on-prem and cloud native applications.

　　5+ years of distributed front-end and back-end application development with Java, Spring Boot, Rest API services, Cloud native services like AKS, Azure webapps.

　　Knowledge of microservices and cloud architecture.

　　Experience with no-SQL (like MongoDB), Oracle, SQL Server, or similar database platforms.

　　Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as ability to establish strong relationships across teams to effectively deliver work across the enterprise.

　　Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or similarly related field.

　　Preferred:

　　Experience in DevSecOps adoption, building CICD pipelines in YAML and test automation.

　　Experience cloud technologies with preference to Azure Cloud and AzDO.

　　Exposure to modern AI concepts such as generative AI, various models of machine learning, large language models, conversational AI (chatbot, etc.) as well involvement in older concepts like automation, robotics, and scripting.

　　Experience in containerization and deployments in on-prem and cloud runtimes.

　　Experience instrumenting and using monitoring tools such as Splunk and AppDynamics.
