Position Title : Senior Analyst for Global Intelligence
Job Location: US – Cary, NC (hybrid)
Role: The Senior Analyst for Global Intelligence will support and augment MetLife’s Intelligence capability and serve as a bridge between various security/cybersecurity and resilience functions in MetLife. Located within MetLife’s Global Resilience team, the Intelligence unit’s core function is to deliver contextualized risk information and actionable intelligence that enables MetLife to navigate the evolving global threat landscape and proactively protect the company, employees and assets. The Senior Analyst will work on-site in Cary, where they will be embedded in MetLife’s Security Operations Center (MSOC) and play a critical role in assessing geopolitical, physical and converged security risks to the organization.They will create a range of intelligence products for a broad audience of key internal partners and backfill for the Director of Global Intelligence as needed. This role reports to the Director for Global Intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively monitors and evaluates global political, security, and cybersecurity issues in a business context, providing high-quality, relevant, and concise intelligence reporting and analysis to improve security and support corporate decision-making.
Leverages OSINT techniques, social media, benchmarking data and vendor tools, alongside demonstrated awareness of geopolitical and risk issues in the Americas, Europe, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific regions.
Supports expansion of intelligence-sharing partnerships with internal teams, including but not limited to Cybersecurity, Corporate Security, Government Relations, and Communications. Proactively shares reporting and analysis on emerging trends in physical and cybersecurity that could impact the organization.
Provides dedicated support to MSOC leadership through regular guidance to MSOC Operations Analysts (OAs) to assist with identifying, evaluating, and tracking emerging physical threats to MetLife personnel, assets, operations and reputation.
Partners with MSOC managers to ensure operational excellence across the OA team, including by supporting the creation and delivery of intelligence analyst training for new and current OAs.
Leverages and works to deepen existing Intelligence unit relationships with key external agencies, industry groups, private-public partnerships, and other multinationals.
Serves as backup point-of-contact for data and intelligence vendors/providers.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills :
At least 6-8 years of experience in the risk intelligence field or an equivalent environment , whether in the public or private sector
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, editing and presentation skills
A keen analytical thinker with the aptitude to collate and validate intelligence, evaluate the reliability of sources and the relevance of information to operations
Experience in conducting comprehensive research on complex topics independently or as a part of a larger analytical effort focusing on emerging trends in physical and cybersecurity that could impact the organization
Proven ability to fuse quantitative data and qualitative analysis and produce organization-specific risk assessment
Experience in writing detailed strategic and operational intelligence reports and security assessments, including for senior-level audiences
Functions well in a dynamic team environment, while also working independently on individual reporting deliverables
BA/BS with a concentration in a relevant course of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; advanced degree a plus
Cyber certifications/experience a plus
Foreign language ability a plus
This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation.
