　　Tutor Perini is seeking a Lead Estimator for our New Rochelle, NY office.

　　DESCRIPTION:

　　As a Lead Estimator at Tutor Perini, reporting to VP Estimating , you will have the opportunity to:

　　Conduct a thorough review of the contract plans, specifications and other documents for the bid items assigned.

　　Know general requirements and special conditions.

　　Be aware of the proposal requirements and discuss with VP Est / Chief Est.

　　Identify major and unusual items.

　　Solicit quotations from major subcontractors and suppliers.

　　Prepare HCSS comparison sheets.

　　Identify D/M/WBE requirements, prepare GFE using SmartBid.

　　Develop clear write-ups and documentation required for SOQ / RFP type proposals.

　　Prepare documents for bid and proposal submission.

　　For Joint Venture bids, set up JV manual.

　　Prepare pre-bid or green sheet estimate.

　　Set up Bid in HCSS.

　　Price-up bid items and review with VP Est / Chief Est.

　　Timeline equipment.

　　Provide assignments and monitor take-off estimators.

　　Build job and determine means and methods.

　　Maintain dialogue with owner’s representative.

　　Know insurance and bonding requirements, complete financial worksheet.

　　Review risks and selected subcontractors / suppliers with VP Est / Chief Est.

　　Close out bid with Chief Estimator and submit bid.

　　Prepare procurement strategy along with subcontracts and purchase orders.

　　REQUIREMENTS:

　　BS in Engineering from an accredited institution and 10+ years experience in heavy civil construction working with a general contractor

　　Included within the 10 years above, shall be min 5 years in estimating

　　Experience working on projects in the NYC area valued at 100+ million preferred

　　Fluent with the following software:

　　HCSS Heavy Bid

　　Blue Beam

　　Excel

　　Primavera P6

　　SmartBid

　　Excellent written and verbal skills

　　Expected Salary for this position is $150,000 - $220,000 depending on experience
