Description If you are eager to start a career as an Accounting Clerk, Robert Half is searching for an experienced candidate to fill the position for a well-respected company in the manufacturing industry. In this position as an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire employment based in the Laguna Hills, California area.

　　Your responsibilities

　　Work with Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing

　　Organize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes

　　General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

　　Mend discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

　　Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

　　Upload financial information to journals and ledgers

　　Collaborate with Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, process daily invoices/credit, and help with collection of past due balance Requirements - Skilled in Spreadsheet and ERP system

　　Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds

　　Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

　　Experience with high volume data entry

　　AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
