We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Java Developer III in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role involves the creation, management, and operation of a diverse set of Dev-Ops-related tools and processes, as well as collaboration with engineering teams and architects. The industry this role operates in is IT and software development.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a diverse set of Dev-Ops-related tools, processes, and technologies

• Collaborate with engineering teams and architects to define methodologies and working practices

• Create horizontal tools, technologies, and best-practices to support the IoT Platform engineering teams

• Define common frameworks and software libraries in various programming languages

• Support the management of the running IoT Platform system architecture, identifying areas for continuous improvement

• Work in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software incrementally

• Promote the adoption of best-in-class software engineering practices, frameworks, and tools

• Develop cloud-based services and platforms, with a focus on AWS technologies

• Troubleshoot issues and promote the adoption of best practices for platform security, including audit and reliability

• Work closely with technical product managers to translate overall system architecture and product requirements into well-designed, implemented, and tested software solutions.

Requirements • Proven experience with Java, JavaScript, Python, Node.js, and Go languages.

• Proficiency in AWS Technologies and Cloud Technologies.

• Knowledge of Microservices and Spring Boot frameworks.

• Familiarity with Agile Scrum Methodology and Best Practices in software engineering.

• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

• Experience with API Development and Network Security.

• Knowledge of Service Level Agreements and their application in software development.

• Proficient in using Monitoring Tools to assess system performance.

• Understanding and application of Workstation Support and Quality Audit processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or related field is preferred.

• Adherence to security practices in software development and engineering.
