Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Accountant in the Salt Lake City area. This role primarily involves handling payroll and benefits accounting, working closely with the HR department, and assisting with audits.

Responsibilities:

• Handle preparation and processing tasks related to payroll and employee benefits

• Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations for payroll and benefit plans

• Collaborate with the HR team to ensure correct accounting of employee benefits

• Assist in processing payroll

• Create and complete payroll-related journal entries

• Meet stringent deadlines for period-end account reconciliations and other tasks

• Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll regulations

• Assist with internal and external audits pertaining to payroll

• Utilize skills such as General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, Debits, ADP Workforce Now, Account Reconciliation, and Process Payroll to perform duties effectively.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in the Restaurants Catering industry

• Familiarity with General Ledger operations

• Experience in creating and maintaining Journal Entries

• Knowledge of debits and credits

• Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now software

• Experience in Account Reconciliation

• Ability to Process Payroll effectively and efficiently

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
