Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Cranston, Rhode Island. This position plays a crucial role in our team, where you will handle multiple properties/entities and work closely with the property management team. This role falls within the industry of accounting and finance.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records for multiple properties/entities

• Conduct monthly reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable

• Regularly update and manage entries in the General Ledger

• Prepare and present financial statements for each entity

• Reconcile balance sheets on a monthly basis

• Work towards a monthly close of books

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks

• Use accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various functions

• Work collaboratively with the property management team.

Requirements • Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.

• Proven experience as a senior accountant or relevant role.

• Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation.

• Proficiency in bank reconciliations and general ledger management.

• Ability to prepare and post journal entries.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

• Demonstrated experience in month-end close procedures.

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP accounting software.

• Must possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Must adhere to ethical standards and comply with company policies and procedures.

• CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
