As a Staff Account Your Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Identify areas of concern in the engagement that require discussion with the supervisor/manager.
• Exhibit a high level of accuracy and efficiency in tasks assigned by supervisor/manager.
• Take on increased responsibility for engagements and business correspondence.
• Travel to client premises to complete assignments when necessary.
• Foster effective client relationships through professionalism and responsiveness.
• Stay updated on all professional pronouncements such as FASB, GASB, SAS, GAAS, and GAS.
• Comply with regulations and professional ethics of the AICPA and applicable state boards of accountancy.
• Conduct some research of accounting principles.
• Undertake other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements
The Ideal Staff Accountant will meet the following Requirements:
• Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA certification or progress towards obtaining CPA certification is required
• Proficiency in audit procedures, rules, and standards
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting procedures
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Superior problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong Excel skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
