Break / Fix IT Support Center Technician
Job Description:
Our customer is looking for 2 IT Support Center Technicians who will work in an IT Service Center (tech bar) and Field support environment to troubleshoot hardware (laptops, PCs, peripherals) and software (Windows/Office) Successful candidates will be expected to follow established documented processes, perform software and hardware break/fix. Candidate will help customers via phone, in person and remotely. Position potentially requires a lot of walking.
Role Responsibilities:
o The primary role for this position will be to perform onsite troubleshooting, repairs and upgrades for client hardware and software resolution.
o Performs hands-on and in-depth troubleshooting and associated repairs of failed client hardware and software.
o Performs thorough documentation of all service activities.
o Perform analysis and restore or repair customer asset usability in a fast paced environment, using multi-tasking abilities.
Qualifications:
• A+ Certification required, Net+ Certification recommended
• Experience troubleshooting basic networking issues
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate good customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time to complete tasks
• Possess a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
• Advanced hands-on experience troubleshooting & repairing client hardware.
• Possess strong communication skills; both verbal and written.
• 3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Pass security and drug testing
