Reports to: Senior Manager of Infrastructure
Location: Multiple CT, NY, and ME
The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience andlocation, ranging from \$118,000 TO \$147,500.
Responsibilities
The Operational Smart Grids Manager of Network Services will beresponsible for the operation of the OT (Operational Technology) network(network, security, monitoring tools) utilizing best practices. Theywill ensure that products meet the Utility industry\'s best practicesand security guidelines, standing up new, leading-edge capabilities thatwill provide a reliable, interoperable, and flexible architectureadaptable to changing business and regulatory requirements. This rolewill ensure network devices are hardened and updated to protect fromcyber-attacks. Candidates should have strong IT/OT skills with a deepunderstanding of networking, systems, and cyber hacker methodology toassure threat-informed security mitigations. Design and developOperational Technology (OT) architecture solutions for supportingcritical grid control systems (SCADA, etc.) and their regionalinterconnections. They also work closely with various Principal Advisorsand vendors to develop architecture design documents that support theenterprise and grid strategies. Aligns business needs and capabilitiesto ensure enterprise architecture direction and standards are set,communicated, and maintained. Develops design specifications supportingnew products under real-time environment, applications, and serviceofferings such as integration with emerging Distributed Energy Resources(DER) solutions. Facilitates the issue and resolution of architecturaland cybersecurity design issues through a standard governance model.
Major Role and Responsibilities
Lead and provide vision and strategy to support Operational Smart Grids(OSG) Infrastructure. This includes Networking, Data Center, and CyberSecurity. Develop OSG standards in concert with the Global Smart Gridsteam. Provide and define the technological direction of the OperationalSmart Grids Networks Services team.
Deliver excellent levels of operational stability and reliability forthe OSG systems. Define operational programs and identify opportunitiesfor improving operational efficiency and reliability for OSG criticalsystems and applications.
Represent and interact with Global Smart Grids teams. Ensure theprocesses are in place and alignment with the Global Smart Gridsstrategy, monitoring the service level targets and providing reportingon a regular basis.
Lead a team of internal employees and external contractors acrossmultiple states and several locations primarily NY, CT, MA, and ME.Manage internal/external on-call 24/7 support. Define and ManageInfrastructure (network) capital and operational budgets, includingrenewing support and technology agreements and establishing additionalframework support agreements, for a flexible and scalable resourcesupport model.
Manage core vendor relationships, including licensing compliance,procurement processes technical leadership, and negotiation. Ensure theenterprise has the capability to support new technology and maintainhigh levels of service. Create a sustainable OSG environment tofacilitate growth while maintaining required regulatory compliance andend-user requirements. This is a management position responsible formultiple layers of geographically dispersed skilled technical staff. Thecandidate must have well developed management and leadership skills. Actas a local point of contact within the Global Smart Grids team regardingnetworking.
Have skills and possess experience with providing executive reportinglevel. Proven experience in strategic project execution, strategicplanning, risk man gement, and change management while engaging andinfluencing various stakeholders at all levels across the company. Theability to mentor less experienced team members.
Knowledge of Business Continuity philosophies and methodologies,including practical experience in implementing technical solutions aswell as Disaster Recovery philosophies and methodologies.

Bachelor\'s degree with 7+ years - OR - Associate Degree with 10+ yearsof broad-based Informational/Operational Technology experience and
Minimum of 5+ years in leadership/management and technology projectcoordination
Advanced knowledge of network technologies (routing, switching,firewalls, and load balancers)
At least 3 years experience in leading and managing a team of highlytechnical staff in a large enterprise network
Other preferred experience:
Minimum of 10 years of Operations experience.
Minimum of 5 years of working knowledge in a regulatory environment forutility companies including North America Electric Reliabilit
