MERCHANDISE COORDINATOR FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF THE LOTTERY – DIVISION OF COMMUNICATIONS OPS (Part-time): 20 hours per week, $16-18 per hour (dependent on experience/skillset)
GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This OPS position is part of the Lottery’s Strategic Partnerships team and is responsible for performing duties related to merchandise inventory management, including merchandise ordering, receiving, issuance and shipping, and various other administrative tasks. The Merchandise Coordinator may also be asked to assist the Strategic Partnerships team with coordinating partnerships and representing the Lottery at events. This position also requires the incumbent to possess and maintain a valid driver license and may occasionally include overnight travel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Each employee is expected to be knowledgeable of the Lottery’s Responsible Gaming program, including the No Underage Play and Play Within Your Means messaging, and will ensure retailers and players are aware of the program and provided information, as necessary.
Fulfil merchandise requests to external vendors and internal staff.
Primary team member responsible for merchandise issues/returns.
Perform warehouse-related duties including shipping, receiving, and organizing, which may require lifting/moving up to 50 lbs.
Coordinate merchandise needs with the Lottery’s nine district offices across the state related to Strategic Partnerships and/or marketing events, including shipping and receiving merchandise, delivering props and equipment, and setting up/staffing merchandise tables when needed.
Identify merchandise needs and procure merchandise orders, includes processing, tracking, and maintaining pending Lottery purchase requisitions.
Maintain accurate inventory list of merchandise items and assist with routine inventory reviews.
Compile and analyze data for administrative decisions, including special assignments, research, and report preparation.
Participate in internal and external events, which may include the set-up and break-down of promotional equipment, which may require lifting/moving up to 50 lbs.
Operate a motor vehicle as required to fulfill the duties of the position, which may include overnight travel.
Work with the Strategic Partnerships Manager and Communications & Partnership Director to manage and oversee a promotional merchandise budget.
Ensure compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Perform routine clerical duties including answering and routing telephone calls and responding to internal and external emails.
Greet Lottery partners and the public in a courteous and professional manner (in person, via phone, and via electronic communications).
May be required to review, maintain, and archive files in the Communications Office.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Attendance is an essential function of this position.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to utilize effective written and verbal communication techniques.
Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of My Florida Market Place (MFMP).
Holds and maintains a valid Florida driver’s license.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule which may occasionally include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift/move 50 lbs.
Ability to respond to business partners and the public tactfully and courteously.
Demonstrates strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills .
Proficient in Microsoft Office, primarily Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
Proficient in Adobe Acrobat.
Ability to work independently, self-starter.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of safety practices, policies, and procedures as it pertains to a warehouse environment.
Ability to quickly learn new concepts and procedures.
Agency-wide requirements for this employment:
A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
Successful passing of a criminal background check (state, local, and national) is required .
