The University of Iowa, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine and the Division of Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics are recruiting an adult congenital cardiologist for a faculty position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor. Patient care will occur at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, affiliated outreach sites and the affiliated Iowa City VA Medical Center.
Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any misconduct history or pending research misconduct investigation including but not limited to sexual misconduct in prior employment and provide a related release and will be subject to a criminal background and credential check.
Education Requirement:
M.D. degree or equivalent.
Required Qualifications:
At least one year of advanced training in managing adult patients with congenital heart disease is required.
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Certifications:
Board Certification in adult cardiology.
Desirable Qualifications:
Applicants with evidence of leadership skills, board certification in pediatrics/pediatric cardiology, training in advanced cardiac imaging and a demonstrated commitment to clinical research and teaching are preferred.
