The candidate will additionally perform inspections and certifications associated with shop fabrication, manufacturing and vendor product acceptance. Other non-conflicting duties may be assigned outside the Quality organization as required to level load personnel.Technical Ability:A wide range of experience is preferred, to include as many of the oversight areas and direct support functions as possible. Candidate must be proficient in use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project. Microsoft Access proficiency is desirable. Candidate must be willing to travel and to accept extended work assignments.Objectives:Relocation to EB West Maintenance and Modernization Site in Bremerton, WA.Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Shift work and emergency overtime may be required.Travel to other shipyards in the Unites States is required.The candidate is comfortable with change and able to adapt to the changing environment.Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance or higher.The candidate must possess strong analytical, causal analysis, communication, organizational, planning, and writing skills under minimal supervision.The candidate must demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasking.QualificationsRequired:High School diploma / GED or equivalent required.Past experience working in Naval Shipyard environment5+ years' experience in Quality Assurance inspections and certifications associated with Naval ship maintenanceFamiliarity with SUBSAFE, Scope of Certification, and Fly-by-Wire certification programs, as well as Navy Modernization Program Technical Specification TS9090-310, Alterations to shipsThis is not an entry level position.Well-developed verbal and written communication skills are required.Demonstrate proficiency in reading submarine prints and drawings required.Preferred:College BS, BA or BBAProficiency in computer systems (I.e.
