　　Job Summary

　　Under close supervision, assists detox counseling staff with various tasksrelated to patient care coordination in the detox facility. Tasks may includeassisting with forms completion and data entry, obtaining and recordingbreath alcohol levels, retrieving patient property at discharge, obtainingclothing or other supplies for patients, escorting patients through thefacility, may monitor patients at meals, visitation, recreationalactivities or other times as needed and as appropriate.

　　Essential Functions:

　　Assists detox counseling staff with tasks related to patient care coordinationin the detox facility. (20%)Assists with obtaining and recording breath alcohol levels, obtainingforms, forms completion, faxing and data entry, retrieving patientproperty at discharge, obtaining clothing or other supplies for patients,escorting patients through the facility, may monitor patients duringmealtimes, visitation, recreational activities, or at other times asneeded and as appropriate. (20%)Helps maintain a safe environment for patients and staff by responding tostaff support situations using crisis prevention intervention and verbalde-escalation techniques. (15%)Promotes positive Interpersonal (customer) relationship with fellowemployees, physicians, patients and visitors. (15%)Treats all individuals with courtesy, dignity, empathy and respect,consistently displays courteous and respectful verbal and non-verbalcommunications.
