Job Summary:
As a Lead Instrumentation Engineer at Quest Global, you will play a crucial role in the design, selection, procurement and commissioning of instruments and automated valves for industrial projects. You will be responsible for creating detailed instrument lists, automated valve lists, hookup diagrams etc. while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of our projects and the continued growth of our company.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Collaborate with engineering teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
Create - instrument list, instrument selection, automated valve list, valve selection
Create hookup drawings using AutoCAD,
Create datasheets for instruments and valves
Create instrument/valve datasheets
Create RFQs, do technical bid evaluation
Participate in P&ID reviews to ensure the accuracy and quality of designs.
Collaborate with the production team to support the installation and assembly of instruments on skids.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers, as needed.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical panel design.
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
[5+ years] of proven experience in plant instrumentation, preferably in water treatment industry.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Strong knowledge of instrumentation engineering principles and practices.
Familiarity with industry-specific standards and codes (e.g. UL, NEC, IEC).
Experience in component selection, cable sizing, and earthing calculations.
