About Instructional Designer/Corporate Trainer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an HR/Training Manager with banking and mortgage industry experience to design and deliver engaging training programs, including teller training, lender training, leadership development, soft skills, and technology training. In this role, you will ensure team members are equipped with the knowledge and skills to succeed, from onboarding to exit, while collaborating with the VP of People and Culture and department leaders to empower employees, foster professional growth, and support our mission of creating thriving communities and businesses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Training Design

 Develop tailored training programs for key banking roles, including Universal Banking Associates (UBA), Teller Operations, Integrated Teller, commercial lending and mortgage training.

 Create technology training, product, and job-specific programs focusing on technical and soft skills such as customer service and branch operations.

 Design engaging training materials, including e-learning modules, presentations, manuals, and job aids.

 Partner with external training providers and resources to enhance training offerings and support employee growth.

Training Facilitation

 Facilitate new employee onboarding and orientation, collaborating with department heads to create customized programs and schedules.

 Register and enroll employees in online training courses (e.g., Bankers Training-BAI, FISERV) and administer self-paced learning paths for professional development.

 Schedule and coordinate development workshops, Lunch-N-Learns, and presentations by internal or external lecturers, motivational speakers, or product specialists.

 Employ creative techniques to deliver training that is engaging, practical, and aligned with learning objectives.

 Adapt training content and methods to suit diverse learning styles and employee needs.

 Manage and optimize the Learning Management System (LMS) to assign, track, and report on training programs and employee progress.

 Set up and maintain training facilities to ensure a professional and welcoming environment.

 Ensure all training programs meet compliance requirements, industry standards, and organizational goals.

 Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee electronic personnel files.

Needs Analysis

 Conduct comprehensive training needs assessments by partnering with leaders and employees.

 Analyze performance gaps and identify skill-building opportunities for employees in key banking functions.

Evaluation and Continuous Improvement

 Measure the effectiveness of training programs through surveys, feedback, and performance metrics.

 Refine and update training content based on evaluation results and changing business needs.

 Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and banking regulations to enhance training offerings.

Salary/Compensation: up to $85k (based on experience; possible flexibility) +health/dental/vision/life/401k/tuition reimbursement/adoption assistance/leadership career development programs/Birthday Mardi Gras day off

Skills and Requirements

 Bachelor's degree from four-year college or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 At least 5 years of experience in corporate training, instructional design, or similar roles, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.

 A passion for facilitating and empowering others.

 Strong presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to captivate and motivate learners.

 Creativity and curiosity to design compelling and impactful training experiences.

 Self-motivation, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

 A positive attitude and a willingness to adapt to changing needs and environments.

 Familiarity with regulatory compliance training in the banking sector.

 Proficiency in e-learning tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and multimedia platforms.

 Proficiency in leveraging technology and multimedia tools for innovative content creation.

 Experience in aligning training content with business goals and industry regulations.

 Skill in conducting training needs analyses and aligning programs with organizational priorities.

 Ability to work closely with leadership to identify key areas for development and improvement.

 Resourcefulness in addressing training challenges with innovative solutions.

 Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

 Openness to feedback and continuous improvement.

 Strong interpersonal skills to build credibility and trust across the organization.

 Ability to inspire a culture of learning and professional growth.
