Starting Hourly Rate Based on Qualifications:\$22.81 JOBSUMMARY, DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS: The Instructional Assistant willwork with students and staff in the Nursing program at the NorthcentralTechnical College\'s School of Health Sciences. This individual willprovide assistance to students with academic coaching, tutoring andskills sets unique to the Nursing program with oversight from afull-time faculty. This individual will attend assigned classes in orderto work directly with the students on the material. Note: Full-time andpart-time candidates will be considered. Scheduled hours for thisposition can be flexible to work around a candidate\'s full-time job.This position will work with the Nursing program which may requirecoverage on days, evenings, and potentially weekend as the need arises.Responsibilities: Essential Functions: Work with students and staff inthe Nursing Program. Provide technical assistance to instructors andstaff in the Nursing Program. Assist nursing faculty as directed.Recommend procedural discussion topics to the instructors based onobserved student practices in the classroom. Communicate respectfullyand effectively with students, external, and internal customers. Assistinstructors by ensuring students are competent with course content andskills. At the instructors\' request, assist with the remediation ofstudents. Assist the program instructors with the procurement ofmaterials and supplies. Assist the instructors with the setting up ofmajor classroom activities for students. Proctor tests and quizzes.Prepare instructional materials for student classroom activities.Provide academic coaching and tutoring Instructional staff will assistin direct student learning and assessment of student progress inachieving the requirements of the program in the appropriate learningdomains.
