Webasto is seeking candidates to join our team as an Industrial Engineer at our North American headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI.
What you will do - Essential Responsibilities:* Planning and commissioning of production and assembly facilities in consideration of DFM* Support for projects implementations in compliance with deadlines, costs/budgets, quality and customer requirements* Coordinate and implement quality control objectives, activities, or procedures to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, or minimize costs* Perform motion time studies for manual operations and tasks and develop process plans to maximize efficiency and reduce waste,* Develop and implement process improvements and technological upgrades to maximize productivity* Use drafting tools and computer-assisted design software to create the layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency and determining personnel requirements* Evaluate employees' tasks and responsibilities, identifying procedures or tools to improve productivity
The minimum requirements you will need:* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field* 3+ years Industrial Engineering experience within automotive/manufacturing* Knowledge of material flow planning, ergonomics and quality methods* High level of analytical thinking and technical creativity* Expertise in working with engineering and computer-assisted design software
