  Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Acquisition Project Engineer to join our team in the Washington, D.C. This position is fully remote.

  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  Provide systems engineering expertise and technical guidance on a wide range of activities and missions supporting fixed, mobile, and portable systems for border security.

  Assist in the development of foundational acquisition documentation including Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) and functional requirements development in accordance with DHS acquisition policy.

  Support AoAs, trade studies and DOTMLPF studies and develop recommended solutions to support capability-based engineering requirements development approaches.

  Interface with all engineering disciplines to ensure continuity and traceability through all stages of the system development with system level architecture, functional allocation, major interface definition, feasibility analysis, and trade studies.

  Assist in the validation of operational requirements baselines and maintain traceability to policies, mandates, and user needs.

  Support the development of critical operational issues, measures of effectiveness, suitability, and key performance parameters to ensure solutions meet engineering and technical requirements.

  Be a system analyst on a multi-disciplinary team providing technical advisory and lead system integrator technical oversight to the government division lead.

  Support interpretation of stakeholder needs to help refine requirements and the development of System Engineering strategies to obtain those capabilities.

  Support the technical review process and assess performance and work products as related to systems engineering, modeling, simulation, and sensors.

  Identify integration development risks, assist in joint SW/HW impact analyses, and develop mitigation strategies to reduce system development acquisition risks.

  Review products, processes, and systems on an ongoing basis to determine where improvements can be made and how best practices.

  Basic Qualifications:

  A master’s degree in engineering

  A minimum of (10) ten years of related experience

  In-depth knowledge and understanding of Federal acquisition and systems engineering practices

  Preferred Qualifications:

  An INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)

  Federal systems engineering experience on complex systems

  Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Project, and/or SharePoint

  Clearance Requirements:

  Must be a U.S. citizen

  Must be able to obtain and maintain DHS suitability

  Physical Requirements:

  Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

  Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license.
