Job Title: Plumbing Designer

Job Description

We are a growing Consulting Engineering firm located in Charlotte, NC. We are currently seeking a talented Plumbing Designer. As an organization, we are fully committed to sustainable design. We are looking for a designer with consulting engineering experience who will be responsible for schematic design through construction administration for offices, retail, condominiums, industrial, and multifamily residential projects.

Responsibilities

Perform engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives.

Involve conventional types of plans and specifications.

Work reviewed by Project Managers for the application of sound professional judgment.

Design power, lighting, fire alarm, data, and telecommunication building systems.

Design electrical power distribution circuiting.

Design lighting and lighting controls.

Design emergency systems.

Design fire alarm systems.

Design power distribution systems.

Essential Skills

3-5+ years of experience in power, lighting, fire alarm, data, and telecommunication building systems design.

Strong AutoCAD skills including ACAD.

Excellent report writing ability.

Proficient in Microsoft software, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Additional Skills Qualifications

Knowledge of Revit is a plus.

Multi-family and commercial power and lighting design knowledge a plus.
