Robert Half has an opening for an experienced, driven Senior Accountant to provide leadership and know-how to a growing team. This is a permanent opportunity in the Horsham, Pennsylvania area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be required to perform financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities in this role
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Engage in various department-wide initiatives
Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Requirements - Experience with Microsoft Excel
PeopleSoft experience preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of Monthly Close Processes
Journal entries experience preferred
Strong familiarity with financial reporting
Strong time management skills preferred
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Detailed and have the ability work independently
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
