*What is the job about? *
The ideal candidate for this position will have a proven track record in sales, with strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. They must have experience in developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies, be capable of managing relationships with customers and stakeholders and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Your main responsibilities:
You will need to have commercial and technical knowledge to support the DBS unit and market needs equally important are exceptional skills in negotiating and communication. You will also be responsible for the execution of marketing and sales strategies using specific and focused promotional campaigns and incentives.
As our KAM you will need to monitor product sales and KPIs to ensure we are on track to deliver our budgets and take corrective actions as required. You will also be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within the DBS OEM segment, being both proactive and reactive to the market, business and customer requirements.
You will need to be a competent presenter, having the ability to construct and deliver PowerPoint presentations as well as building relationships with customers.
It may occasionally be required to work out of hours in order to entertain and travel.
You will also be required to:
Manage and maintain pricing support mechanisms used across the business
Record all activities relating to the Customer Relationship Management on our CRM package.
Liaise with internal and external sales colleagues at all levels
Build a strong customer relationship to ensure Grundfos are given every opportunity to ensure we maximise sales
Identify & secure incremental sales within the Building Services sector with clear focus on the Domestic OEM Business.
In conjunction with the DBS RSM’s, lead in the targeting and direction of the DBS sales team in terms of our sales to the OEM market ensuring that opportunities for OEM business are identified, and our market share is secured and growing.
Provide short and long term strategic direction ensuring targets are achieved
Develop a robust process to monitor each opportunity and prospect through to point of order using our SAP CRM tools, combined with effective trading agreements / contracts
Work effectively with the Building Services management team & external sales teams offering support & sharing knowledge and best practise
Your background
We imagine that you have:
Technical Knowledge of the business area
Competent IT skills including ideally knowledge of SAP CRM / BW
Experience of sales ideally within a Key Account Manager role.
