The Opportunity
The Senior Model Validation Analyst is responsible for executing best-practice Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) model validation to ensure that state-of-the-art Machine Learning and Generative AI models across the organization are trustworthy, unbiased, conceptually sound, comply with legal and regulatory standards, and continuously solve business objectives.
The Work Itself
Comprehensively verify and validate various dimensions of machine learning models (both discriminative and generative) across Ally to identify technical and process gaps, reducing risk by identifying errors and prescribing corrective action.Develop AI and Machine Learning benchmarks as needed.Occasionally, provide engineering support (i.e., data, machine learning) to the model validation teams as needed.Document and present findings to the model validation leadership and stakeholders.Provide input to model risk management framework for Ally, including annual validation plans, model inventory, and model risk ranking.Develop and maintain effective partnerships with participants/stakeholders within Ally's model risk management community.Foster and cultivate machine learning and data science best practices across the organization.The Skills You Bring
3+ years data science, advanced analytics, or model validation-specific experience.3+ years in financial services or financial technology preferred.Advanced degree in finance, economics, statistics, data science, or related field recommended. However, equivalent experience is equally considered.
Technical Competencies:
Familiarity with market, credit, and operational risk measurement methodologies.Experience with data science applied to financial services.Experience with machine learning applied to financial applications.Ability to assess model concept and design, theoretical foundations, technical assumptions, data, and process controls, model implementation and execution, and outcome analysis.Demonstrated analytical approach to complex processes.

Experienced: 117500
Expert: 150000
Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan
