About Human Resources Generalist

  The HR Generalist will support daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. Ensures compliance with state and federal labor laws and provides appropriate communication to managers and supervisors regarding new regulations.

  What You’ll Do:

  Assists in the coordination of human resources programs such as recruitment, onboarding, benefits, and training

  Approves transactions and input changes and relevant information into the company’s HRIS

  Resolves routine issues and employee concerns such as medical claims, documentation requests, training enrollments, etc.

  Monitors the effectiveness of human resources policies and recommends revisions or modification to meet the needs of the organization.

  Assist employees with day-to-day HR questions and requirements.

  Ensure that the HR department maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.

  Establish positive employer-employee relations by protecting the interest of the employee and the company in accordance with company policies and core values, as well as governmental laws and regulations.

  Participate in the development, assessment, and implementation of company-wide programs to improve retention, quality of work life, employee morale, and diversity awareness.

  Prepare and/or maintains regular and special reports to assist in the attainment of company and department objectives.

  Perform such individual assignments as management may direct.

  We’re Looking for Someone With:

  BA/BS in Human Resources Management or related field

  Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR Generalist role (preferably in a manufacturing environment)

  Proficiency in the administration of special leaves, (FMLA, ADA, and Workers' Comp)

  Excellent knowledge of HR/personnel practices and principles, and all applicable labor, pay, benefits, health, and safety laws and regulations.

  Excellent planning, time management, decision making, and interpersonal skills.

  Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

  Proven ability to provide effective customer service for internal and external customers.

  Strong organizational and detail-orientation skills in order to manage a continuous workflow in a high volume, multi-tasking environment.

  Solid problem-solving skills.

  Familiarity with ADP systems a plus (preferred)

  Physical requirements and working conditions:

  Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:

  Move throughout the entire facility to attend to various issues

  Work effectively in teams across functional groups with strong communication skills and the ability to lead

  Perform sedentary work on various computer systems

  This HR Generalist position is located on-site in our East Longmeadow, MA facility
