　　As a Medical Records Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing medical records and ensuring their accuracy and completeness during the HEDIS season

　　•

　　You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support the company's commitment to maintaining high standards of care and data integrity

　　•

　　Responsibilities:Conduct data validation and provider outreach to ensure accurate and complete medical records

　　•

　　Assist in retrieving medical records from contracted providers for project audits

　　•

　　Review medical records to identify any flagged information or missing data during the audit process

　　•

　　Communicate with providers via phone or fax to request information verification or updates

　　•

　　Update and maintain accurate records with the corrected information received from providers

　　•

　　Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of data validation processes

　　•

　　Adhere to compliance standards and regulations in handling confidential medical records

　　•

　　Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare providers and address any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally

　　Requirements

　　In this position, you will work with the Retrieval Operations staff to assist with the data collection cycle

　　Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, and Word and similar applications

　　•

　　Manages various data organized within Excel spreadsheets

　　•

　　Conducts claims research, determining correct service location or verifying member history

　　•

　　Performs provider outreach, verifying and confirming provider demographics & medical record requests, both by telephone and in writing

　　•

　　Requests medical records and performs follow up of requests within database tools

　　•

　　Maintains HIPAA standards and confidentiality of protected health information; reports critical incidents immediately

　　•

　　Performs medical record reviews for HEDIS® and HEDIS®-like measures via remote EMR access or onsite

　　•

　　Schedules on-site reviews with provider offices, medical groups, and other clinical facilities depending on geographical location
