Join our team!Responsibilities: Be alert and active in supporting facility\'scommitment to safe practices, infection control, and respect forresidents\' rights. Provide overall leadership to facility\'s deliveryof nursing care services, including staff recruiting, supervision,training, and discipline, quality assurance, medical records, infectioncontrol, and regulatory compliance. Determine on an ongoing basisfacility\'s nursing staff needs and take steps necessary to meet thoseneeds. Evaluate the delivery of nursing services and maintain standardsthat are in full compliance with regulatory requirements. AssistExecutive Director/Administrator in representing the facility incommunity, professional, and peer groups and activities. Stay informedconcerning developments and trends affecting long term care and assistExecutive Director/Administrator in strategic planning. An employee\'swork schedule may occasionally be changed to include shifts differentthan the one for which the employee was hired. An employee who isinjured on the job will, with the approval of a physician, be assignedto transitional or \'light duty\' job responsibilities pending recoveryand return to his or her regular position. Each employee has theresponsibility to become familiar with and follow the facility\'s:Policies and procedures on residents\' rights Safety and disasterpreparedness procedures Exposure control plan, especially as it relatedto the employee\'s position Procedures for correct use of personalprotective equipment Procedures for preventing the spread of infectionProcedures for using good body mechanics and safety transferringresidents. Education/Experience: Must hold a current Oregon statelicense as a RN or LPN and have a minimum of three (3) years\'experience in a long-term care setting. Must have excellent knowledgeand skills relating to geriatric nursing care practice and federal andstate regulations applicable to long term care facilities. Must be ableto provide leadership to resident care functions, such as: infectioncontrol, quality assurance, staff recruiting, training, supervision, andprotection of residents\' rights. Must be able to work well withresidents, family members, physicians and staff.
