To perform the assigned responsibilities asdirected by the department supervisor when supervisor is absent.Responsibilities: Work safely and observe all EHS rules Comply with allDOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures Comply with allHealth and Safety policies and procedures Uses all designated PersonalProtective Equipment as required Ability to recognize and correct unsafework conditions, situations, behaviors, potential safety concernsSuccessfully complete annual RCRA Hazardous Waste and DOT HazardousMaterial Training (if applicable) Lead production personnel whichincludes assigning work, training personnel, solving problems,interpreting blueprints, specifications, route sheets, productionorders, etc. Assists employees in the resolution of manufacturingproblems. Communicates the status of their department to otherdepartments and coordinates material flow to support productionschedules Trains employees on procedures, methods, problem solving,prints, equipment, programming, quality requirements, and team methodsPromote quality to all employees and assure quality standards areachieved Resolves employee relation issues in a professional manner orelevate as needed Active involvement in DPS through continuousimprovement and kaizen events Leads by example and occasionally performteam members functions as needed Must be able to work scheduled overtimehours Investigate nonconformances & scrap reports, assist withcorrective actions Perform routine EHS activities such as physicalhazard inspections & safety contacts Perform other tasks as directedProvides input for performance evaluations and assists Supervisor duringone-on-one assessment process Supports department adherence to budgetand operational metrics (e.g. scrap/EHR/delivery) Assist the Supervisorby providing the leadership to maintain employee focus on safety,quality, delivery and costs Utilize route sheets and blueprints asneeded to produce parts accordingly Interprets...
