The CAD/PLM Administrator enables engineering capability andefficiency through continuous analysis and improvement of the CAD/PLMsystems across all Generac engineering sites on a worldwide basis. Keyfocus will be on CAD/PLM supporting velocity and efficiency inengineering design and analysis, the delivery of new products, andsustainment of existing products. The position evaluates opportunitiesrelating to CAD/PLM and process effectiveness towards the development ofplans for current and future system needs, future software applicationsupgrades and for advising leadership of computer training needs. Thisposition is responsible for providing training and support with respectto various current CAD/PLM systems. This position reports to theDirector Global Engineering Systems. Essential Duties andResponsibilities: 30% Develop practices and processes aligned toenhancing the performance and efficiencies of the Engineering Systemtools. Analyze engineering system information requirements and productspecifications to understand technical content strategy and plan tocreate and deliver written and/or visual product-related informationincluding various types of guides (automated templates and bestpractices), and online information (interactive demos, help systems)integrated into product, for a variety of audiences (general engineeringusers, systems administrators, and engineering training developers).Responsible for implementing and supporting the internal tools andsystems environment that supports a forward-thinking product developmentgroup using PDM/PLM and other software tools for CAD data andengineering documentation management. 25% Supports CAD/PLM system userissues for all Generac Design teams including occasional off-hourssupport of our international teams. Work closely with engineering teamsto implement customized CAD/PLM workflows to support engineering datamanagement solutions and process improvements.
