TitleGraphics Designer * JourneymanCategoryOtherDescriptionPosition Location: Wright-Patterson AFB, OHTelework/Work-from-Home Authorized: NoWho You'll Report To: This position will report directly to the task lead on-site for this contract.The Work You'll be Doing:The Graphics Designer - Journeyman will support the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) by preparing illustrations, conceptual drawings, posters, technical drawings, schematic diagrams, and 3D renderings using a variety of digital design applications.Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:Digitally manipulates and edits photographs for high-resolution output.Adhere to the established AFRL branding style guide, in the layout and design of graphic materials to include: Logo choice, fonts, colors, format and overall aesthetic effects.Review products with higher grade illustrator or supervisor and make changes as necessary.Prepare marketing materials for commercial printing, and coordinates with printers to ensure accuracy and quality while maintaining all deadlines.Operate and maintain a variety of graphics production equipment, including vinyl cutter, wide format printers, and laminators.Support exhibits process, as needed.Provide artwork, custom signs, headers, posters and display-related products to include: camera-ready text, single-page, tri-fold and multi-page brochures, photographs, photographic manipulation, original artwork, black and white and multicolored illustrations, and two- and three-dimensional perspective illustrations.Provide editing, copying, mounting, and laminating as needed to support the display/exhibit.Integrate into the display any customer-supplied multi-media products.Provide the government with the original layered graphic file upon completion of each graphic work order.Support the design and procurement of marketing, branding, and recruitment materials to include event items promoting the Air Force Research Laboratory.The position not only involves graphics design, but also includes art production, administrative duties, and display installation.Assist with proposal development, if necessary.Perform other duties, as assigned.Experience:Minimum of two (2) years of functional experienceEducation:Associates degree with a minimum of two (2) years of functional experience; or Bachelor's degree.Other Required Skills & Abilities:Proficient in the use of the full Adobe Suite, to include but not limited to: Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Acrobat, InDesign.Must be able to navigate and utilize the toolbox in both graphic software, skillfully and creatively.Willingness to learn new software and graphics processes.Must have a strong art portfolio.High level hand skills and cutting skills, utilizing graphics substrate, such as foamcore, PVC and acrylic.Basic knowledge and skills with hand tools.Curiosity and desire to think outside of the box, thinking 3D, in terms of interior environments.Ability to verbally communicate ideas, using proper graphics terminology and conceptualize visually, through hand drawn or digitally produced concepts and renderings.Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.Security Clearance:Secret security clearance required.US Citizenship: This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Sawdey Solution Services to staff it only with U.S. Citizens.Full-Time/Part-TimeFull-TimeRequisition CategoryActive
