　　Accountant, Senior Associate - Inventory/GLDesign Within Reach is looking for an Accountant, Senior Associate - Inventory/GL to join our team. You'll assist in the accurate recording of financial transactions, in accordance with GAAP, including the preparation of financial information and reports, compilation and analysis of financial information, reconciliation of general ledger accounts andmaintenance of subsidiary ledgers.You will support inventory counts across our US fleet of locations for Herman Miller, DWR, HAY & Outlets. 　　Ensure that inventory is properly valued and appropriately reserved under US GAAP.

　　Maintain SOX controls and processes related to inventory & COGS.

　　Prepare monthly reconciliations for all inventory related accounts and other GL accounts.

　　Prepare monthly journal entries related to inventory and COGS to record inventory movement, shrink, and accruals for inventory in-transit.

　　Prepare various general ledger reconciliations and accruals related to month end close.

　　Cross train on other GL and AP functions.

　　Assist/Prepare in the scheduling of annual physical inventory counts, review cycle count results, and investigate variances as needed across our US fleet of locations for HM, DWR, HAY & Outlets.

　　Review daily inventory activity.

　　Work closely with multiple departments and warehouses.

　　Assist with inventory audits and other aspects of compliance.

　　Identify and implement process and performance improvements.

　　Special projects as needed.

　　Knowledge of ERP System is required, NetSuite experience preferred.

　　BA/BS degree in finance or accounting or equivalent job experience.

　　3+ years of experience in Accounting or Inventory Accounting.

　　Strong knowledge of Excel including VLOOKUP's and Pivots are required.

　　Retail industry experience preferred.

　　Strong accounting skills in US GAAP, Inventory Management, and SOX.

　　Excellent problem-solving skills.

　　Strong verbal and written communication skills.

　　Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.

　　Solid understanding of FASB rules and regulations.

　　Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be self-starter.

　　Strong working knowledge of Windows based applications including Excel, Word, Access, MS outlook and accounting packages.
