CTL|Thompson, Inc. seeks a Geotechnical Project Engineer/Geologist forits Fort Collins, CO office. The successful applicant will work ongeotechnical engineering design projects primarily involved with soil andfoundation investigations for residential and commercial projects in the FortCollins area. Studying slope stability, earth retention, pavementdesigns, and geologic hazards are also likely. Time in the field and officewill be required for this position.
Work will be primarily geared toward projects; however, some clientservice and business development will also be required.
Duties will include:
Engineering analysis for foundations, slope stability, earth retention,and pavement thicknessWriting and reviewing proposals, reports, and lettersAttending project meetingsManaging projectsCommunicating with our team and clientsMarketingBilling
The ideal applicant must have a valid, Colorado professional engineer(PE) license, a B.S. in engineering, geology or engineering geology(MS preferred), and five to ten years of experience with geotechnicalstudies and geohazard analysis. In addition to strong engineering skills,this individual must possess an understanding of construction methods. Thedrive and ability to provide client-focused service is required. Geotechnicaldesign experience with expansive soils, foundations, slope stabilityand/or earth retention structures is desirable, especially localexperience. Good writing and communication skills are essential. Must beable to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Project Engineers are paid an annual salary between $65,000.00 and$85,000.00 plus discretionary bonuses. Our offer will be based uponindividuals experience and qualifications.
