Madhava Hospitality, Inc is seeking six (6) talented Front Desk personnel to work on their property at 11380 US HWY 23, Mackinaw City, MI 48734. The position will be full-time and seasonal during the dates of April 1, 2024 -- November 15, 2024.
This role of Front Desk Agents is to serve as the guest's first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodations. The personnel in this position is responsible for registering guests, accommodating their requests, providing room information including rates and amenities, financial paperwork, and communicating with other departments on the status of guest rooms. Front Desk Agents may be required to upsell guest rooms and promote hotel services. Hotel experience is preferred. Should be able to stand and move for long periods of time. Must be able to speak and understand clear English, handle adversity with ease and diffuse issues that may arise with professionalism. This job requires continuous movement, regularly bending, lifting, pushing. Must be flexible, communicate effectively, be a team player. No minimum education is required to perform the job.
Employees will work Mon-Sun average of 40 hrs/wk. Must be able to work up to 8 hr per shift within 8am to 10pm any day of the week, days off rotate, shifts vary, weekends a must. On-the-job training is provided. Madhava Hospitality, Inc provides workers with all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job at no charge.
Wage is $13.27 an hour. All deductions will be made from paychecks that are required by law. No other deductions will be taken unless voluntarily agreed upon. Overtime may be available at $19.91 Wages will be paid bi-weekly on Fridays, and the employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due.

The employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
The employer will provide housing at a cost of $80 per week. The deduction will be made from the employee's check if agreed upon. This is optional and is not a condition of employment. Alternately, the employer will assist the workers to find suitable housing within walking distance of the worksite.
