Description We are in need of an efficient Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in the Government sector, located in Lewisville, Texas. As a Human Resources (HR) Assistant, your main role will be to manage and maintain HR documents, assist in HR compliance projects, and carry out other administrative duties. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage detailed HR files

• Assist in executing HR compliance projects

• Conduct background checks as part of auditing processes

• Ensure the correct filing of HR documents

• Provide administrative support as needed Requirements • Possess a thorough understanding of the government sector, its structure, and operations.

• Hold a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Human Resources Assistant or in a similar role within a government entity would be advantageous.

• Strong knowledge and expertise in auditing processes and procedures.

• Experience in conducting comprehensive background checks for potential candidates.

• Proficiency in maintaining and managing filing systems, both digital and physical.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of government personnel.

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.

• Proficiency in using HR software and computer systems.

• Knowledge of labor laws and human resources best practices.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• An analytical mind with problem-solving abilities.

• A keen eye for detail, particularly with documents, data, and paperwork.
