Examples of Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare food as directed by the Food Service Manager.Serve USDA lunches and snacks for preschool children.Maintain kitchen equipment, serving utensils, food preparation and storage areas in a safe and sanitary manner.Post menus in kitchens.Calculate accurate quantities of eating utensils and food service material for each classroom.Select and organize correct table settings and food portions for each classroom.Maintain and use inventory system.Assist with transporting as directed by the Food Service Manager.Understand the needs of children and parents, incorporating them into the food program.Participate as an active member of the Food Services Team.Work in a professional manner.Respect the confidentiality of information as defined in the Confidentiality Policy.Exhibit independent work skills, leadership, and flexibility.Train aides and volunteers in accordance with program philosophy and policies.Exhibit intent to increase knowledge, skill, and personal growth.Attend and contribute to staff meetings and Food Service Team meetings.In consultation with supervisor, develop professional work goals and training plan.Participate in training as requested.Performs Other duties as assignedThis description is not intended and should not be construed to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, effort, work conditions, and benefits associated with the job.
