Responsibilities
Prepare the service area prior to each meal periodObserve and record food and equipment temperatures in accordance with HACCP policiesWatch for safety/sanitary hazards or malfunctioning equipmentFamiliarity with food service proceduresModerate physical fitness — as a food service worker, you must possess the following:the ability to sit for no more than two hours during an 8-hour day, except for cashiers and card checkers who may sit for 2-4 hours at once for a total of 4-6 hours per daythe ability to push or pull using force up to 50 pounds occasionally (less than 33% of the workday)the ability to work under a range of temperature conditions (e.g., kitchens, walk-in refrigerators, freezers, etc.)Food service worker is a biweekly paid position. Flexibility with scheduling, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays is required. Schedules may be changed due to business needs and work outside the unit may be required. This is an essential personnel position.
