　　Job Summary

　　Provides software engineering and DevSecOps capability to strike weapon systems in compliance with Navy Open Architecture (NOA) requirements.

　　Telework is not supported. Travel is not required. 

　　Responsibilities and Duties

　　Provides expertise and engagement in all levels of the software development and maintenance processes for the client. Duties will include developing software design based on approved requirements. Generates and documents the preliminary design and detailed design of software. Provides technical inputs for all required reviews throughout the entire software development process. Provides input for the development of Software Users Manuals. Generate and debug assigned software code elements. Generates and implements unit level test procedures. Performs capability test procedures to verify complete functional coverage of all new/modified code. Generates procedures and scripts and perform automated testing. Generates and maintains development schedules.

　　Qualifications and Skills

　　Required knowledge and years of experience

　　Must have at least ten (10) years of professional experience providing software engineering for analysis, design, development, test, and maintenance of software and database models. Must have at least six (6) years of concurrent progressive experience with a demonstrated technical background in developing programs in higher level computer languages, such as C, C++, Java, and PERL, hosted on both Unix/Linux and Microsoft systems; and using structured programming methods, Program Design Languages (PDLs), Agile Software development process, Modular Software design, ANSI C++ and Java applications in a networked LINUX environment, personal computers in Windows environment; and developing software in a multi-threaded/multi-process environment. Must have knowledge of agile software development processes. Candidate shall have knowledge of unit-level and functional testing processes and methodologies. Candidate shall have knowledge of software configuration management processes. Candidate shall have knowledge of software Quality Assurance (QA) processes.

　　Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
