Description This position will be responsible for partnering with key business managers to ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, reporting and accounting responsibilities while implementing efficiency improvements through organizational review and software implementations.

　　Essential Functions Conducts timely and accurate recording and reporting of key periodic operating and financial metrics Review operational accounting duties performed by the accountants Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process, i.e., reviewing journal entries, accruals, and other necessary closing activities Assists with property accounting activities surrounding acquisitions, and divestitures Collaborate with operations management to provide accounting related assistance with operational process Ensures transactions are recorded, documented, reviewed and supported in accordance with company policies and controls Manage and maintain accountability for inventory accuracy, timeliness and efficiency of accounting processes related to inventory Maintain and review accounting procedures, processes and help make continuous improvements around automation of accounting and reporting process Support ad-hoc business analysis requests from leadership team and key stakeholders operational processes Requirements Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in accounting, business or finance 5+ years of detail oriented experience in a finance or accounting role Additional Qualifications: Upstream oil and gas experience in an Accounting or Finance role is preferred Experience with general ledger systems and data analytics software is preferred Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work well under tight deadlines Microsoft Office Suite capabilities (Excel, Word, Outlook and Power BI) Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal control
