Summary About the Position: Responsible for all aspects of facility management as assigned, such as initiating projects, planning, budgeting, reviewing project designs, coordinating projects to minimize mission impact, overseeing execution, and reviewing finalized projects to ensure they are completed to meet applicable guidelines as well as the customer and mission requirements. Serve as contracting officer representative for airfield projects and services contracts and coordinates work efforts for all other contract services performed on the airfield, acting as the government’s authority over contract project managers. Conducting surveillance activities over construction and maintenance operations performed by a variety of private contractors, including reviewing project plans and specifications for workability, informing contractors of construction and reporting requirements, and supervising operations for conformance with project plans. Performing maintenance or construction work, including estimating material and labor costs for a variety of construction or maintenance projects (such as construction or maintenance of brick, frame, structural steel, reinforced concrete, and other type structures ranging from one- or two-story buildings to larger structures), directing actual work operations, and maintaining appropriate contacts with the organization funding the project. Minimum Qualifications: In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, you must also meet the qualification requirements below: Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assessing the condition of maintenance facility components; determining short- and long-term funding requirements for facility operation and maintenance; facility requirements planning to include usage patterns of buildings, equipment, and other facilities.
