About the role: The Supplier Engineer Director is responsible for developing a strategic and tactical vision for supplier engineering teams to achieve organizational goals and drive continuous improvement in all aspects of supplier performance. The incumbent will partner with global sourcing and suppliers to establish priorities and execute operational plans, while providing direction and guidance to managers and related personnel to resolve issues and refine processes covering the life cycle of components from concept phase through R&D, full-scale production and retirement, which includes supplier and component selection, qualification and delivery. Your responsibilities will include: Building strategic partnerships with internal and external executive leadership, regulatory agencies, customers, and suppliers to advance departmental and organizational objectives Collaborating with cross-functional teams, business units, and geographies to achieve global sourcing goals and overall business objectives Overseeing and controlling the activities and budgets for projects, programs and operations of various functional areas, divisions, product groups Utilizing technical expertise and skills to execute operational decisions; establish, interpret and execute strategies that reflect the organization's vision and values Monitoring activities to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO and other agency regulations Creating a technically entrepreneurial environment; lead, coach, and develop direct reports to drive practices and contribute their full potential to achieve organizational objectives Required qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (i.e. ME, ChemE, EE, BioMed) or similar discipline Minimum 8 years of engineering experience within a regulated industryMinimum 8 years of experience with technical leadership Minimum 5 years of management or supervisory experience within in a medical manufacturing or other regulated environment Experience managing ambiguous situations with strong change management and conflict resolution skills Direct P&L management experience Ability to travel 50% (domestic and international) Preferred qualifications: Experience working in a global organization supporting diverse businesses and geographies Experience developing and fostering global teams Experience with supplier engineering, manufacturing engineering, and/or new product development Strong collaboration skills; ability to build relationships cross-functionally and across regions Requisition ID:574480 Among other requirements, Boston Scientific maintains specific prohibited substancetesting requirements for safety-sensitive positions.
